Do I have to reprint QR labels when I move things in and out of a bin?

Short answer: No. You print one QR label for each bin and stick it on once. The label does not hold a list of items. It opens a page that shows what is in that bin right now, so it stays correct as you move things in and out.

How it works

Each label’s code opens the bin’s contents page in your app. When you scan it, the page lists everything currently assigned to that bin, with the bin’s Room, Rack, Shelf and Bin. Move an item to a different bin, add a new one, or take one out, and the next scan shows the change. Nothing to reprint.

You need to be signed in

The page is private. If you are signed out, the scan takes you to the sign-in page and brings you straight back to the bin afterwards. Members of your Guild can open it too.

When you would print a label again

  • A label is lost, torn or faded.
  • You delete a bin and create a new one (the new bin gets its own label).
  • You are given a new address for your app.

Where to print them

Open Storage and select Print QR Labels. The labels print on Avery sheets.

Items have a QR too

Each item’s own page also shows a QR code, so you can scan an item and open it directly.
